The marketing of the Lenovo IdeaPad S205 is provided for just such days. It ‘s a 11.6-inch AMD-E-350 offered along with a high-end configuration for 399 €. We have no official information about the arrival in Italy, but we hope that our country is among the European markets concerned. Lenovo has introduced at CES 2011, and has released a few hours ago its service manual.
This explains how to disassemble IdeaPad S205, how to reach the internal components and how to replace the hard drive (320GB in Windows 7 SKU German Home Premium) and RAM (4 GB pre-installed, max 8). Unfortunately there is no panel on the bottom that provides easy access to this hardware, but at least this has allowed us to optimize interior space and make a frame ultra-thin, really thin. Unfortunately, this means the 6-cell battery as a 2200mAh, a very low capacity, but I may be a mistake, or perhaps a reference to a sheet is not updated.
